EurAsian Journal of BioSciences is an international refereed electronic journal. It accepts only original "research paper" and short "research note" in English in the area of biological sciences.

Text Format

The text should be written in a Microsoft Office Word (at least ver. 6.0), document in A4 format. It must be double-spaced and "12 pt `Univers` font" throughout the text, and should not exceed 25 standard pages (please leave 2.5 cm from all sides), including graphs, illustrations, tables, etc. All pages should be numbered with Arabic numbers (apart from first page, numbers must be on right-top of each page). Scientific names of genera, species, subspecies, varieties and forms must be italicized (not family and above). Names of the species should be written with genus and species names (epithets) in full with author`s name(s) where they are seen for the first time in the text and also in tables. And following ones should be given in abbreviation form of the names. In the title and abstract, author names must not be given. Authors are requested abbreviate authors of plant scientific names precisely follow Brummitt, R. K. & Powell, C. E. (eds) (1992). Authors of Plant Names, Kew: Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew and Kirk, P. M. & Ansell, A. E. (1996). Authors of Fungal Names, [Index of Fungi Supplement], CABl: Oxford Univ. Press., Oxford, Authors of Animal Names, uBio nameserver and Species 2000 and also their on-line versions incorporated in International Plant Names Index (IPNI): http://www.ipni.org/index.html and Index Fungorum: http://www.indexfungorum.org, uBio nameserver: http://www.ubio.org/ and Species 2000: http://www.catalogueoflife.org/annual-checklist/search_scientific.php.

Submission

The first submission of the manuscripts for review should be sent to corresponding e-mail address of the journal. The manuscripts should be written in Microsoft Office Word (at least ver. 6.0), and submitted in electronic format in CD-ROM (PC formatted) or e-mail.

Please add line numbering to your manuscript starting at the Introduction section and ending at the reference list. Please use the word-processing feature "line numbering" to number the lines, thus making it easy for reviewers to cite specific comments in their review. Please number consecutively, every five lines.

Review Process

All manuscripts are subject to critical review by at least two anonymous referees and should have satisfactory quality for publication in EurAsian Journal of BioSciences. The Editor reserves the right to reject the submitted material. It is author`s obligation to satisfy the language requirements. The author should follow the grammatical rules of the appropriate language. Please proof-read content for accuracy. For reviewing purposes, the names of five potential reviewers (of international caliber) along with their complete postal and e-mail addresses, must be given on a separate page. The first (second) name and surname of all referees should be given in full (without  abbreviation).

Cover Letter

In the cover letter, authors should state that all the material used in the article is original, that no part has been published or submitted for publication elsewhere, and that all authors have agreed to submission. The corresponding author should be named in this letter. Submission of an article to EurAsian Journal of BioSciences means all authors accept that both scientific and ethical issues (e.g. copyright) are their own responsibilities. (Please do not include the covering letter in the body of the manuscript). For rapid communication, corresponding authors should include their postal addresses, e-mails, telephone (office and mobile), and fax numbers (including country and city codes).

Authors must send the submissions in separate files, as follows:
1. Cover letter
2. Names of five potential reviewers
3. Manuscript

Please see the attached a sample article.

Authors and their addresses: Full names of all authors (without abbreviation) should be included. Addresses should include postal (zip) code.

Abstract: An abstract (no more than two hundred words) is published at the beginning of each paper. Avoid abbreviations (except chemical and physical units) and references. Taxa should be mentioned by their scientific name without authority.

Keywords: Please suggest no more than five keywords for the paper. These should follow the abstract, in alphabetical order, and should characterize the scope of the paper.

INTRODUCTION: Aim and importance of the topic, any essential historical background and possible contributions to the field of study should be included. Statements that need references in this section must not exceed 1/3 of the total reference list and cited references should not be more than three in such statements.

MATERIAL AND METHODS: Without giving unnecessary details, used materials and applied methods in the study should be included with appropriate references in clear and accurate statements.

RESULTS: The results obtained from the study should be reported clearly.

DISCUSSION: The study should be discussed with related literatures and critical implications should be given.

ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS: If necessary, acknowledgements to sponsor(s) and assisting individual(s) should be given as short as possible before reference list.

Literature Cited and Reference List: Author citations in the text must be as follows: Davis (1966), Takacs and Tatar (1987) or Ozturk et al. (1999) if within a sentence; (Davis 1966), (Takacs and Tatar 1987) or (Ozturk et al. 1999) if at the end of a sentence. If several papers are cited simultaneously, they should be put in chronologically, e.g. (Davis 1966, Takacs and Tatar 1987, Ozturk et al. 1999). Do not use `&`. If the author of a published material is not known or if there is no name on such kind of published material, it should be named as "Anonymous". The list of citations in the reference list must be in alphabetical order by surname of principal author. Unpublished notes, texts, abstracts/summaries of seminar, conference, symposium, etc. and web sites should not be referenced. Do not abbreviate names of journals or proceedings.

Tables

Tables and figures should be listed at the end of the manuscript, starting on a new page. Please submit tables with an appropriate legend at the head, numbered consecutively with Arabic numerals in the order in which they are first referenced in the text. Tables should be given "9 pt `Univers`". Each table must be referred to in the text. Indicate footnotes to tables by lower-case, superscript letters, beginning with "a" in each table

Illustrations

Figures, photographs, plates, maps and graphs are considered as figures. Please, limit the number of illustrations (graphs, diagrams, photographs, etc.) to the minimum needed to clarify the text. The author must provide the lettering. All elements in the drawing should be large enough to withstand reduction. Both axes of graphs must be labeled. The vertical axis must be labeled sideways and read from bottom to top.

Photographs must be of high quality and exhibit high contrast. Photomicrographs must have an internal, labeled scale marker, and the magnification must also be stated in the legend. Citation in the text should take the form of `Fig. 1`, `Figs. 1 and 2`, `Figs. 1-3` and `Figs. 3, 4, and 6`. Submit only original photographs for publication.

Figure Legends

Please submit a legend for each figure. Each legend must contain sufficient explanation to be meaningful without cross-referencing with the text. The legends are part of the text, not of the figures, and should be given separately below the figures.

Nucleotide and protein sequences: New sequence data must be submitted and deposited in the DDBJ/EMBL/GenBank databases and an accession number obtained at the time of submission. For the evaluation of manuscripts containing gene sequences, sequence data have to be made available to the referees.
The accession number should be included in the manuscript.
The most convenient method for submitting sequence data is by World Wide Web:
